cold weather affect sows

Post by jamesr » Wed Feb 06, 2008 6:03 pm

I have three sows that I thought were bred in Oct and Nov, i has been unseasonably cold here and I was wondering if the cold makes the sows look like they are not bred. The first should deliver tonight but is not showing much and her hair is so thick I cannot hear heart sounds of the litter.

As long as the sows got enough feed to compensate for the lower temps. you should still see the typical physical signs.
What do you consider "unseasonably cold"?
