what can you tell me.........

about which york boars that are throwing the most bone and structure. I don't need opinions on boars that HAVE bone, I want information on york boars that are consistantly putting a big foot in most of their offspring. I have some ideas, but just wanted to see what any other person's opinion of this was. I have a couple york gilts and sows that do not need anything but a bit more bone. thanks in advance, Piggy

Piggy two of my best york gilts that i have came from Brett Goff. i bought them on his on-line sale based on his advise. they are both full dimension gilts. perfect structure, flexible, great bone, big footed, and even toed. they also have the best disposition of any pigs i've been around. all the weanling york gilts he brought to duncan looked the same part. very nice guy. i'm sure he could give you some great advice.

I have seen that Hedgepost stoutend pigs up a great deal. By doing this he put a bigger foot and a lot more bone in hogs as well as making them wider based also. I seen these traits reapeatedly in all Hedgepost pigs.I am sure there are more out there that have sired this same way, but this is one good york boar in my opinion.

Full D puts huge foot and bone. Just be prepared to sacrifice a little bit in the rear end. Also, he may give them a bit of an ugly head, but that is being critical of a good proven boar.
