Do you have specific boars that you would like to know more about? There are a lot of boars there.

I will fill in where I can, I arrived late and left early. Disclaimer: These were just my thoughts and opinions from looking at the boars.

Outlier was my favorite boar there. I read him as the most complete boar they have. He has bone, muscle, flex and is square. I have seen several litters of pigs out of him, and some were pretty extreme in bone and muscle. I probably would not use him on a heavily muscled sow, but that is just my observation. I thought all the Outlier sons were very complete pigs as well, may not as much look from the side as Outlier has.

Walks Alone was also a very good boar. He is a square sound moving boar that is very tall at the point of his shoulder. Probably could use just a little more extension up through his front end, but other than that, a very complete boar. Since Outlier and Walks Alone share the same dam, I would say they probably have quite a bit of sow power behind them.

Visionary is a very nice profile boar that had a lot of look and extension and looked to be very square and sound. I do not read Visionary as having as much muscle, especially in his lower ham area. Exclusive and Cartel both seem to be a little light on the lower ham muscle as well. As we have seen all summer, Visionary sires some great females. I thought Exclusive was a little better on his hind legs than Cartel was, but Cartel probably had more top shape.

I think Beyond is exactly like his picture. Huge bone and a lot of rib and muscle and takes a long fluid stride off the rear legs. I would say he is soft on all four corners just as he appears in the picture. His rear legs may have a little too much set to them for me.

Another Boar that stood out to me was Ballistic. Big rib, great look from the side, with plenty of muscle.

I do not remember much about Premonition. I remember him being better than I was expecting, but that's about it.

I did not see any of the hamps and I did not pay attention to the durocs, I saw a few really good ones walking across the ring, but I have no idea which ones they were.

Just my thoughts, feel free to disagree with me.

I wasn't there personally, but a trusted friend who is very connected to the showpig industry told me mogul is the real deal. Tycoon is good, just a less stout version of mogul. Be careful of Top shelfs hind legs.

I was told visionary, beyond, and Mogul are the ones to use at pbg. If you can afford them, mind you =).
