I have heard through someone that he widens out the base of the pig, but the muscling is going to mostly come from the gilts side of the pedigree.
It's not all about being the heaviest muscled hog, Its about balance.

I was going to use him on a sow who has good width and muscling but she is very soft. Will he firm up the muscle? If not do you know of another boar that will throw a litter that a great majority will be red belted because that is the color of the sow and that is one of the things my daughter was looking at with him.

We have 2 pigs out of Rusty Nuts, they look real nice, good muscle shape, bone, tall fronted. The barrow we will keep for a market pig for our local show, the gilt will go for another market show. As for color, we bred him to our red calico gilt, all 8 came out red calico. I would recommend him.
