Which Berk to use?

Post by insulator » Tue Aug 30, 2016 1:16 pm

I have a February Berk gilt that is out of Black Oak at Shaffer's. She has good bone and depth of body and good WDA. She really needs to be blown apart more . What Berk boar will give me more width all the way through. I'm looking to breed her for either a Feb or March litter. Thanks in advance

There are many options out there. I have seen some real nice Non-Typical boars this summer. PBG has "Monopoly" and Top Cut has "Day to Day". I do not always look for boars that are blown apart, but instead are a little bit of everything. A boar that seems to have some bone and some decent size imo is "Double Take" at Shipleys. I have not seen him in person but I have seen the other two that I mentioned. Lots of choices out there.
