Grandad to early?

Is it to early to bring the grandad back and use him? I have a gilt whose grandad would work perfectly but I think it's to early. What are your guys thoughts on this?

Many people I know have bred father daughter and grandfather granddaughter and never had problems, I have been instructed however, never do son mother.
It's not all about being the heaviest muscled hog, Its about balance.
