New York Boars- Heaviness of Stucture

Post by CardinalClone » Tue Nov 01, 2016 3:17 pm

Looking at newer York boars to add bone and look. Has Anyone seen Gas Money at Upperhand- they seem to be really high on him and it's an interesting pedigree.

What about Pathfinder at Shipley's? I can find a little video on him on the walton webcasting site but would like to hear from someone who's seen him.

Lastly what about Capital Gain at Moyer's? I had heard someone say Ricker thought that was the best he'd raised.

Darin, Colby, anyone have a breakdown of these boars?

I saw Gas Money several times prior to him selling to Upperhand. He was an easy stand out in the nursery and chip barn. I remember when Niki rolled him out to the Texas A&M judging team while I was there and their jaws hit the floor. He has the right kind of muscle with a close to ideal hip. He is strong in his pasterns and from his blades and hocks to the ground is awesome. He picks up where the Prophet left off. The Yorkshire program at RWG has always been strong. Rick also houses a boar he call Sheckles that is extremely rugged and heavy structured and would be a great option. Sheckles is a Prophet son that recently sired Parlay that is housed currently at Shipley's.

Thanks a bunch! It's hard to get out to Indiana and Ohio and see these critters.

For what its worth, Capital Gain is on our list to use this winter.

I love the capital gain boar!!! I think he doesn't have a home in him and I tried using him but she only had 2 dead pigs and a 3rd that lived for a few days but plan to try him again!!!

I think a boar that will add heaviness of structure is the lit this boar at moyers!!

Also I have a litter of amped up from Thompson and really love those pigs as they are stout.. Huge bone and pretty front end... I have talked to a few ppl who have used amped up and everyone says about the same thing so it sounds like he might do good things
