$20 for first animal entry and $15 for each additional animal entry

Fees for entry the day of the show are the same, however:

Show Rules
• Weigh-ins: 7:00 AM until 9:00AM for pigs, 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM for goats and lambs.
• Show Schedule: Pig show starts at 10:00 am, goats will start at 12:00 PM, lamb show will follow goat show. (We will be using a two ring format.)
• Class Order: Showmanship Classes (8-9, 10-11, 12-13, 14-15, 16-17, 18-21) then type classes.
• Pig and Goat show will overlap. Classes WILL NOT BE HELD UNLESS SHOWMANSHIP CLASSES ARE RUNNING AT THE SAME TIME!
• Skill-a-thon to be held from 10 AM till 12 PM.

General Rules:
1. Show is open to all youth between the ages of eight and twenty-one as of January 1, 2014 from any state.
2. There is no limit on the number of animals youth can enter/exhibit.
3. Entries will be accepted until the close of the scales.
4. No refunds for no-shows.
5. There are no weight limits.
6. Classes will be divided as evenly as possible by weight.
7. There will be three weight divisions in each species.
8. No bedding will be provided. Shavings only. Exhibitors are responsible for cleaning out pens!
9. Animals showing signs of contagious, or infectious disease, or external parasites will not be allowed to show.
10. Exhibitors must have all necessary health papers. All health papers must be checked before unloading.
11. Use only grooming products that are approved for use on meat producing animals when fitting animals for show.
12. The show will follow all guidelines of the PCLA.

Lamb Rules and Health Requirements:
1. Show is open to ewe lambs and wethers.
2. Lambs must have a full set of lamb’s teeth.
3. Pennsylvania lambs to be exhibited must be accompanied by a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) signed by an accredited veterinarian. The certificate must be issued within 30 days of the show.
4. CVI should include statement that “The Flock of Origin was inspected and found free from symptoms of infectious or contagious disease. This Flock has had no known exposure to or history of scrapie.”
5. Out of state lambs to be exhibited must be accompanied by a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection signed by an accredited veterinarian. The certificate must be issued within 30 days of the show.
6. Certificate of Veterinary Inspection must include this statement: “ I have examined the entire flock and found them to be free of external parasites, infectious and contagious diseases and have had no known exposure to scrapies and are not subject to any quarantine restrictions.
7. All lambs must bear an official USDA/APHIS eartag to be exhibited.
8. Lambs must be sheared at least 10 days prior to show to be weighed.
9. Lambs will be inspected for fungus prior to weighing. Fungus is defined as any lesion without follicle growth. Lambs showing evidence of fungus will not be permitted to weigh.

Hog Rules and Health Requirements:
1. Show is open to gilts and barrows.
2. All hogs to be exhibited must be accompanied by a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection signed by an accredited veterinarian. The certificate must be issued within 30 days of the show.
3. All hogs must meet health recommendations set by PA Dept of Agriculture.
4. Out of state hogs to be exhibited must be accompanied by a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection signed by an accredited veterinarian and meet PA health requirements. The certificate must be issued within 30 days of the show. If swine are not from a Stage V Pseudorabies-free state, contact the Department for testing requirements. If swine are not from a Brucellosis-free state, contact the Department for testing requirements.
5. All hogs must be identified by an eartag, ear notch or tattoo.

Goat Rules and Health Requirements:
1. Show is open to does and wethers.
2. Goats must have a full set of kid’s teeth.
3. Pennsylvania goats to be exhibited must be accompanied by a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection signed by an accredited veterinarian. The certificate must be issued within 30 days of the show.
4. Out of state goats to be exhibited must be accompanied by a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection signed by an accredited veterinarian. The certificate must be issued within 30 days of the show.
