Hey, I need some help. I don't know what kind of hog to get for a show pig for 4-H. Does anyone have any suggestions for a breed? Thanks.

In my opinion, Always choose quality over breed. No matter what, get the best pig possible. If there are 2 that are identical, then you could go off of preference.Just my two cents.

most people like the white yorkshire or the black and white hampshire.
each pig is an individual but as a rule yorks are more friendly.
if you are gonna keep it outside on dirt look at a duroc. they are a little more independant as a rule but hardier.
