Whats a better breed for second time showing hamp, york, cross, or duroc

its all about wat u like.
i usually try to have some small breeds. if u get the most common breed in ur area ur more likely to lose

To me,the best looking pig will do the best looking job.If you get a smaller breed,it isn't as fun,sure you don't have to lose,but it is way more fun to have a pig in a class that you have to compete to win.

Ya it all depends on what you like, personally i really like hamps. They have that showpig look that most pigs dont have. But they really cant compete with yorks unless they are really good. Also if you are going to breed them they are a but because most of them dont stand vey well. My little sister is a die hard duroc fan though. I like them too, but they wont beat a good york hamp or xbred. Its all personal preferences. But i guess overall the most balanced breed is xbred. But if you are gonna breed go with hamps or yorks. Hamps bring ALOT of money if you can get them bred, and have halfway decent pigs. And yorks well they are self expanlatory. Just my 2 Cents.
