I like Durocs & Hamp/York cross. I have always liked the duroc pigs and I think the crossbred pigs grow the best.

Landraces. Why settle for 8 pigs in a litter when you can have 13 :)

Herefords so they will go with my Hereford Show Heifer. With fingers crossed my mom will be able to get me two in November.

But I'm kind of in love with my 3/4 red wattle and 1/4 hampshire. Just wished Garnet was the same color as Ruby.

At every show i've been to its always the hamp/york crosses that do the best even though some r just plain white pigs with little blue speckles they always seem to do the best. It even makes sense with the width of a hamp and the length of a york.

I really like hamp crosses. I love a good belted pig. They just look so sharp. I have a chester gilt and she is my baby. Nobody has chester whites where I live and I can't wait to have a litter of white floppy eared pigs. :D

I like durocs mostly because my first two pigs were durocs. they are over all wide and long. but the cross hogs seem to do well because you can combine what you like about a certain breed with something else you like or make a characteristic stronger.

I prefeer Yorkshires for MAMa's but I have to say I think them crossed with a Hamp make real pretty market show animals especially if they do carry that belt and have had plenty of sunshine and spitshine over a summer :)

i like the hamp, york crosses as well. i also like the hamps bc they look so clean and neat and shinney and you never get those "beat marks" on them when you barely touch them. :)
