Clipping you hog for show

Post by HogWildinKS » Tue Jun 15, 2010 10:59 am

Anyone know of a good site I can go to, to purchase show supplies? Specifically, I am looking for a 1/2" metal guard to go on our Oster/Sunbeam clippers.

Two years ago we saw someone who had the exact clippers we have but they had purchased a metal guard that screwed onto their clippers which made this aweful task so much easier! I searched last year and had no luck finding them. We ended up using a cheap pair of clippers from Wal-Mart with a 1/2" plastic guard. It took 3 days to complete!

Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated! Getting help locally is impossible! Everything is top secret!

Thank you!

Sullivan Supply has about anything you need for showing and clipping. They have 1/2 in. plastic guards that work really well. I think the size is OA for half inch.

I was just looking up their website to paste on here, and I found something that looks like what you're describing. Just scroll down to the bottom after you click on the link.

We live in the far Southeast corner in Girard. It is kind of nice because we live so close to Missouri and Oklahoma.

I ordered and received the other clipper blades from Sullivan's and they did not fit my clippers. So, I 'll be sending those back today.

I will check the ones at Valley Vet and see if they are what I am looking for.

Thanks!

This will sound crazy but check a local beauty store or sallon. We were advised to go to a Sallys Beauty Store. We don't have one real close but in the town over. I just take my clippers (clean them first) and they always think I'm clipping dogs. But they have what I need and find things to fit my Andie clippers. Or when I am at a show and sullivans is there I get new blades and stuff from them if I need them!

Hope this helps!
