What to use to make Duroc Sparkle** !!??

Post by Durocluver » Mon Jun 27, 2011 10:27 pm

Okay I have 2 duroc gilts and my mom is letting me manage my own herd since I have been raised around pigs. So I got 2 Duroc gilts both show, 1 keep and 1 sell (poor thing). Both are pretty pigs just soaped and conditioned but I want to know what can make a red hog **SPARKLE*** (: like what can you spray into the coat to make it look shinny. What soap to use, just basicly everything down to the nitty gritty! any comments will be appreciated! (:

Sullivans makes a product called final bloom it has a great shine to it, but it has a really heavy oil and if its hot it wont help to keep them cool.

Another product is called revive from sullivans its not a heavy oil and wont really over heat the pig, but it doesnt have an extreme shine so i mist them with water from a sprayer the water adds more shine and helps keep them cool.

Hope i could help.

use shaving cream smear it all over mist it wipe it off then swine shine and then mist it looks amazing on durocs and sudden impact. the sullivans sprays are usually not oil based except swine shine and hog heaven.

EQQYS makes a brightening shampoo that works ok. It might not do much of a difference on a red hog, though if you can get samples (either by phone or from a feed store) it's worth a try! I've only had hampshires or bluebutts.

Sorry it's spelled EQYSS- one q. It's a horse grooming product, but safe for humans and pigs alike.
