Tell me your favorite brand of FEED!
No true favorite
The more I experiment the better I become at picking a favorite. I used Ultracare for my babes through 60 pounds and I am pretty pleased with it. Right now I am using Honor L200 with Linco and Wormer and will move to a custom grind around 100 pounds with Linco in it. Basically I was at 20 percent protein went to 19 and will drop to 16 percent when finishing the hogs. I will top dress with Safeguard when I am on the 16 percent grind. Last year I used Showtec Paylean, not sure if I will need it this year.

I feed Showrite and Moormans mostly 16, 18, and 18 high fat on show pigs.
I feed Showrite 20 and 22 percent (starter feeds) on babies.
And I'm still experimenting on what brand of sow feed, but it's 14 percent.

We feed a Wemco feed that is custom mixed per the suggestions of the breeder. They make it in a 16% and 18% protein. Our pig this year, has been on the 18% throughout. My daughter's pig was 63 pounds on purchase date of October 27th, now walking across the scales at 251 pounds. We also supplement with Sunglo supplements.

Wow that is an old post. Continued to experiment, and for the last two years we have went with Moormans Momentum as a starter food, and moved over into Kalambach feeds from pre-wean through show feeds and gestation, all of them are a grind we use. We use some Moormans Burst about two weeks out from any piglet sale. We been real happy with these products, the Moormans feeds seem to work well with the Kalmbach feeds. It is a good mixture of feed that is not real expensive with a high end product that is not so cheap. We look forward to the days when we feed just gestation. It is running me about 180 dollars for 1000 pounds.
