Skin & conditioning
A couple days before stock show and had two pigs get together and now there are cuts and scabs... any advice on any way to make them go away faster. Was hoping to use this pig for showmanship but now i wonder! Help!

Re: Skin & conditioning
Desitin on light scrapes and some Neosporin on deeper cuts. It works for me with my yorks.

Re: Skin & conditioning
What we do is just put triple antibiotic ointment on it. Just put it on thick.

I know its a little late but you can keep it in your inventory. At shows that allow you to have products on the pigs skin, put baby powder or talcum powder on the red areas and it will be less evident. results may vary. Before shows like what you had, the others were right about using triple antibiotics.

Preparation H in my show box..for the pigs of course !
Re: Skin & conditioning
I was told Neosporin could cause the pig to fail a drug test. I'm not sure if this is true though.

Probably a little late for you but for anyone else who comes across this, Vetericyn is an absolutely amazing product.

Ask your local vet for some banana cream.
