Problems with Paylean?

Post by PayleanQuestions » Mon Feb 10, 2014 8:18 pm

Hello,

I'm a journalist, and I'm writing about people's experiences feeding PayLean. Has anyone had any problems with stiffness, joint problems, irritability, stress gene, etc.?

Thanks!

I have been using paylean for many years and have never had any problems with anything. That being said if you are feeding paylean you must also feed enough fat to keep from crippling the hog.

We had lameness in one of our barrows last year that we fed paylean, but we were told that he must have had a soundness issue because paylean doesn't cause lameness. He was the only one in the litter with a soundness issue, I guess.

I've fed paylean for years and never have had a problem, just make sure you read your feeding directions. What paylean does is it burns fat and makes muscle. Fat has a lot of fluids in it so you don't want to feed paylean longer than a month. If you do it may suck up fluids and cause your hogs pads to dry out, crack, or cause a lame hog
