Shows and curiosity!

So I've only shown swine in 4H before and I'm just curious what else there was for shows.... I mean I see all these adds for show pigs being born in the summer months and just wanted to know where you would show those pigs? I know there are some barrow shows in MN, which is where I live, but what is there for gilts. Why would you spend that much money if you can't use the barrow for anything... Just curious.

There are youth shows year around. For both barrows and gilts
Work hard and dream big. Be passionate about what you believe and success will follow. 50 to 1 the movie

I've looked before and it seems like there is only barrow shows in MN.. Do you know of any gilt shows?
