Chiropractics

Post by Rjb6455 » Fri Jul 27, 2018 6:48 pm

Has anyone ever taken their pig to a chiropractor? I've heard lots of beef guys say it works wonders, but haven't heard much about it for swine. I am taking a gilt in next week

This response is kind of late. But, I am a Chiropractor with a human practice. I am not "animal certified" but I've worked on my own pets and just recently on my daughter's show pigs. We have a Cross that was having a little stiffness in his right hip. After working on him a handful of times, his hip movement is much more smooth and symmetrical. I know Chiropractic can help for a lot of biomechanics issues.
In case anyone is wondering, I use a spring loaded adjusting instrument. I'm not pushing/pulling on the pig or wrestling with them. lol
