Help with slippery concrete

Post by 4pigsinapen » Sun Jun 09, 2019 4:16 pm

We are currently housing our barrow in the FFA barn at our school. First year and we have been warned of the concrete and how slippery it can be under the pigs when walking. Unfortunately, they didn’t grade the concrete when it was built and there have been accidents of pigs splaying and injuring themselves.
Wondering if anyone knows of a product I can put on the bottoms of the feet to give it a little grip...if there is such a thing?

Lol...in the pens we have used textured stall mats. I would advise finding areas outside of the barn to exercise your pigs.

Looking at tar paper to put just outside the pens, so they can get their “pig zoomies” out of the way and then make it to the outside. Really poor planning on the barn flooring. 😩
