Products to replace Paylean

Post by Showring » Sat Feb 01, 2020 11:51 am

Hey guys our county fair has decided to ban paylean (ractopamine). What other options are there with same or similar effects? Whats your experience with other products? Thanks guys

Nothing will help you with gains like paylean, but Fitter 52 is the product for fast muscle and fat trimming.

Paylean is its own drug all together. We like the Showrite Muscle n Motion instead of Paylean.

Nothing is a one for one replacement for Paylean. But there are products and strategies you can use. Sorry for the long winded answer.

If you need to add shape up high the combination of Game On (Sunglo) and TrueFit (True North) is really hard to beat. But it will not improve gain like ractopamine does and you need to plan for it to take more time. For example, if in the past you fed paylean the last two weeks to improve shape plan for about twice as long to get the comparable results with that alternative.

Second remember muscle shape is hydration so making sure those pigs are adequately hydrated is critical. Products like our TruePurple or Sunglo's 4-Sure help get that job done but you need to start as much as a week before your show to get optimal hydration.

If you're just after gain you can often accomplish that with feed management or a product like TrueGlo Turbo that will dramatically improve gut health. Those strategies will add cover at the same time so you need to be in a position to be able to use it. In terms of gain the most important thing is to plan ahead for the right maturity at your show.

Last but not least when you are looking for pigs this spring do not fall into the trap of thinking "There's no Paylean so I need to buy the one with the biggest butt." I've already had customers send me videos of some of the super heavy muscled pigs they bought and are in trouble.
Do you want to know who you are? Don't ask. Act! Action will delineate and define you.
