Back in the Show Ring!

Post by kat3311 » Thu Jan 07, 2021 12:29 pm

Hi everyone,
I am in a kind of dilemma. I have been showing pigs for 4 years but switched to goats this past summer. During that experience I learned that pigs are whole lot smarter than goats and they are easier to train, so I am switching back this year. Unfortunately during the past year I haven't been keeping up with what's popular in the show ring and what genetics and characteristics judges are looking for. I hope y'all can help me by telling me if anything has changed in the past year. I'm located in South Missouri and attend smaller shows and jackpots. I am also looking for a couple of pigs for an early June show. If anyone could recommend any auctions with good (but decently priced) hogs coming up I would appreciate it.
Thank You!
