Barn Walls...

Post by livestockzone79 » Tue Apr 13, 2021 9:11 am

interested in ideas for show barn walls where pens will connect to back and side walls. Just had a new show barn built, it has treated skirt boards at the bottom but I want to take the walls up to at least top of pen height over the studs. What material has anyone used for something like this that is water/moisture/mildew resistant? Looking for an alternative to just using something like OSB or other plywood to just cover this portion of the walls.
Thanks.

I’m no expert but I’ve researched the same thing. I’ve been told that people love Duraplate. Depending on your location, it can be tricky to find.
I’ve been referred to Ray @ http://www.usedswineequipment.com/ I’m told he ships all over the country.
I’ve also considered using FRP wall board. Same stuff you see in commercial kitchens and/or restrooms.
Hopefully someone can give a little more insight but this is what I’ve found to be the best options.
