there were pig at my country fair that had docked tails and some that didnt. what is better? or does it just depend on what the owner wants?

It depends on the owner, producer, I dock my litters tails. I heard that sometimes if the piglets get board, they will chew on each others tails. (which isnt good) Sometimes once the tail comes loose, the skin up the back gets torn off along with the tail. Its all just your decision, what you like.

We keep our tails normal, but if I think I need the tail set to look a notch higher I would dock them a tough shorter, to give the impression her tail sat higher than normal.
