Blown Hock
This last fall, at the Brazoria county Show, the judge said my gilt had a blown hock, but yet leter that month she showed at another show and the judge said "She's the soundest gilt in this show". How can she have a blown hock and also be the soundest?

Not to sure about how judges cam differ so much. I was at the Ohio State Fair Show a couple years ago and i had a spot barrow sound as could be we thought. Then in the Junior show he got 2nd and the judge comment that it would have got first if it was a little more sound. So we werent too upset, but then 2 days later in the open show the barrow one his class and the judge commented how sound this barrow was and it was the soundest he had seen all day. dfferent judges have different thoughts on different days..wether we like it or not!
