Lindner feed

Post by rettu » Fri May 31, 2019 7:00 pm

I’m hoping I can get some input here. I have started feeding Lindner feed. I am paying 25.00 for 611, 28.00 for 672 and 39.00 for slop. 😳. I have a local feed mill that will use the Lindner base and mix it for me. This will save 9.00 to 10 per bag. I have always been hesitant to do this because I have been told it’s “not the same.” I know Lindner is supposed to be a good feed but feeding 12 is getting very, very expensive.

Has anyone experimented and fed one pig with Lindner straight from their plant and another pig having a mill use the base mix and adding the other ingredients? Any help would be appreciated.

If I was feeding 12hd and had access to a mill I would definitely have it mixed using a showpig base. Many people mix their own showpig feed using one of the major brands base mix and are very successful.
