Prolapse and constipation

Post by weavs150 » Mon Jul 08, 2019 8:03 am

WE had a burrow prolapse on 7/05 with a reinsertion and stitch from the vet. We are currently 5 day out from the start of country fair.
I have reduced feed and top dressed with mineral oil and water along with 20cc of mineral oil orally . He is now starting to bulge and has not gone poop in 24 hours.
any recommendations ?

Stress always helps...maybe a ride in the trailer?

I walked him today and still no significant bowel movement. He has some leakage or seapage but no real relief. When I insert to check to hardness it appears to be soft and penetrable just not passing . He is still on mineral oil with 2 tbsp of Epson salt with his feed.
At what time do we put him under and manually empty his chamber ?
