Todd grew up in Central Illinois on a diversified family farm where his family farmed corn and soybeans and raised commercial swine and cattle. He attended Lake Land College where he judged livestock and then transferred to Texas A&M University to continue his judging career. He graduated with an Animal Science degree and met his wife, Moriah, in College Station. Following graduation, he moved north to Lubbock where he assisted in coaching the 2007 National Champion Livestock Judging Team and completed a master’s degree.

Now, he and Moriah live about 25 miles north of Lubbock in Abernathy, Texas. Along with their children, Bryleigh (13), Zane (9), and Blayne (6) they run Beyers Farms, TX – a 30-head operation focusing on Chesters and Crossbreds.

Todd is the Swine Show Feeds Specialist for Premium Advantage Show Feeds, a Texas-based feed company. He believes the show pig is a tool to develop youth and enjoys assisting with decisions regarding selection and feeding.
