He is on self feeder I went and got Moormans high fat 14% protein feed and I am mixing that with the 16% protein feed. He is now gaining 3lbs per day. What else can i do to soften him up? He is a bad ass looking pig but just needs to be softened up.

go to walmart and get some ensure it is a complete nutrition drink for old people and it has a lot of calories in it. Get the vanila flavored one it taste good and the pigs love it. You can put on a lot of weight in a short amount of time

No it is ok we use optaflex on or hogs but you can only use just a tinny amount. Also put baking soda in the feed when you use payleen or optaflex it helps the stomach. Also it would help if you used a hoof conditioner so his feet wont crack.
