<t>I agree with you piggy there are still very good ones out there but there are two factors that have really hurt the Hamp breed. First they are a "terminal breed and although they can be good mothers that is not what Hamp breeders have been concentrating on and to me that is a mistake. The other t...

duroc boars

<t>Darin I was wondering what boars really stood out for you at Shipley's and LVS. Please remember I am more interested in a good solid all around medium to large framed hog not the super wide, small framed, short bodied "barrow makers" that have been popular of recent.<br/> <br/> You asked what I t...

<t>I wouldn't say I am a God's Gift hater. I just think he should have been cut. I think that Randy probably saw a boar that was smaller framed, short body, and wide that has been the trend in some shows recently. I don't doubt that he can and will put a few pigs out there that will be really impres...

No I haven't. Been pretty busy so haven't been doing much posting. And haven't really had a chance to look at results.

<t>I would have to think that this is the most reasonable explanation because most registries have the ability to not only suspend memberships but also pull the registrations of any animals that belong to someone who is found to be committing fraud, misconduct, or other misdeeds so I don't think tha...

If you liked Quiet Giant at Shipleys maybe Face Lift would work for you. He is longer and deeper than a lot of the Hamps out there today. I don't know how they grow but I am sure Randy could help you with that.

<t>If I remember right you had some. Did you keep any and if so how are they looking.<br/> <br/> I have never said that he could not produce show winners but then again I don't like the direction that the show trend is going. I think he may be one of those boars that may outproduce himself but even ...

Thanks Darin I can't wait to hear how your trips have gone. What are the best boars out there that are not the current Barrow type boars in any of the Boar studs

<t>I believe it goes back to peitrain breeding. I think I heard that M&M produced red hair. I am not sure whether it is recessive or incomplete dominance. Recessive would require both parents to carry a red gene. Incomplete dominance one parent would carry a recessive gene but the dominant gene ...

<t>To me I never really questioned that unreal was bigger than Gods Gift. To me he looks like he is a moderate framed hog not a "moderate framed" dink oops I mean hog. To me he has other issues like he may be too wide. Oops I let another thing slip half of you just gave a gasp. I am sorry I just bro...

personally I always loved the punnet square. Don't worry the soapboxes here are really big we can fit two or three people on them at a time.
