We have 3 Duroc's that were born February 2 and the weigh-in date is September 9 (95 days). The Max is 320 and I would like to limit the ADG to 1.5 -1.7. We are hand feeding Lindner 673 this year. Current ration per day is 8lbs of L 673 and two cups of oat groats split between the 3 in two feedings....

My daughter's Duroc gilts need a little help filling in the Ham/Loin junction. They are long and muscular. I tried to feed my daughter's pigs Show Edge last year and they didn't seem to like it either. They inhaled the Purina 709 and also a 18% grind we got from the local mill Ended up mixing the Show Edge with grind to get them to eat it.

It is 4 months (122 days) until the 4H show at the local fair. One family in our group has some Hampshire cross (2 gilts/1 barrow) about 8-9 weeks in age and look to me to weigh around 25 lbs now. Show was yesterday and my daughter did well. She was 1st with her gilt in the Duroc class and 2nd with her barrow in the Duroc class. Thanks for the advice KGB. She also had 5 chickens with blue ribbons and one went on to win Reserve Grand Champion. A great day.

I took them off Paylean on Tuesday for transport on Thursday to the Fair. They are durocs and are getting a bit moody. The show is Saturday so they should still look great and hopefully have a better attitude.

We are stopping ours 2 days before transport which puts us 5 days before show. From what I'm told, you don't notice a decline until the 7th day after stopping.

Isn't it extra label to feed beyond 240?

Our barrow has reached 240 with 10 days to go. Stopping HSC Paylean Premix since he has reached the 240 lb limit. What can I give him the last 10 days to maintain shape? Will Champion Drive act as a replacement?
