I think Shipley's have some of the best boars around. We are feeding a pair of powderkeg pigs born late Feb. and they are weighing 200 right now.

We feed Gerber's , Bob White show feed. Our pigs have one well on it.

We are hearing about the same price as last year.

Shipley's has alot of really nice boars. I really liked Gangster. The BigTime son at MTV looks really good to. I have litters due in Feb out of both of these boars as well as Superwide @ MTV.

What is everybody breeding to for 2011 pigs? I used Big Time 81-13 & Super Wide @ MTV and bought a bred gilt sired with Cross Wired from Shipley's.

Welcome aboard Collin. I'm from Ohio and I like Durocs & Crossbred pigs. We raise crossbreds, but I just bought a pure york gilt so who knows what the future holds. I think you will find that this site is a great resource to all your questions.

I use shavings. I think they are cleaner and eliminates the problem you are having.

We just recently finished up our county fair and Dave Runyun was the judge. He did a great job at our show.

I was at the Ohio State Fair and watched the purebred and crossbred shows. I thought that both judges, Dave Kilmer & Kelton Mason did a really good job.
