sows eating wood?
My sows have been eating my barn walls for the last 3 weeks, I haven't changed their feed at all, they are on sunglo sow base. I just wondered if I am lacking some mineral. They have been in this barn for years never had an issue until now?

Re: Matrix
Hog doc, i gave matrix to a group of sows 9.3 cc for 18 days and followed with a shot of pg600 24 hrs after the last dose of matrix with mixed results so far. After 48 hrs I had 2 sows standing, both of which we're not standing 8 hrs earlier, I was alarmed because I thought it was pretty early, (pas...

Re: What's the best built and most correct boar out there?
To Colbys point i have seen a good amount of Grand Mentalitys (champ boar at Loui) and they look way way good. The ones i have seen are mega legged, and extremely true to the ground.

I will have a group of 10 to breed this next go round, my question is can i just use 70 ccs of matrix and mix it in the 60 lbs of feed i feed them once a day? Will this work or does each individ...

Has to be music to Moyers ears that he picked an On Top barrow esp. If he's judging ohio. He sure is easy to follow even from a grainy computer screen. I love his reasonings.

Re: Smaller/Newer Boar Studs
Stohlquist has a smaller stud, but his line up is one of the best in the country. The sow power behind his boars is unreal. Great semen quality, but even better people to deal with. Dropping Swag didn't make good semen at first, so he won't have too many in the midwest state fair season, but look ou...

Re: Farrowing Issue.
I don't know what her BCS is but it sounds like one that might be a bit over conditioned combined with uterine inertia. If this is the case and their are others that might have the same problem being a little more aggressive about assisteng them would be a good idea. Ridley makes a product that is ...
