Solid Monster @ TKO

I really like Solid Monster at TKO. He isn't one of those EXTREME boars but he looks good! What are your thoughts?

Try adding beet pulp or oats to fill her up without her gaining.

You might try not mixing it so soupy. Some pigs like their feed kinda thick almost like oatmeal. And sprinkling jello powder on top sometimes helps.

I usually feed before. Using different showtime supplements helps give a fresh look, fuller look, ect. If your hog is already full feed a little less. It's good to feed after show too.

A good way to help hogs gain weight fast is to add lots and lots of water to their feed. Some pigs will only eat it really soupy which is good, but others won't take it unless it has very little water which will slow you down but it works pretty good.

I like Beef Cake pretty well. He rounds out of his hip just a touch. I've noticed a new trend coming around where people are looking for a little bit of a taller hog. In that case is a little to short but he is still pretty nice.

I have found that the aggressive, confident approach works best. It is good to seem relaxed and comfortable at the same time though.

The only one of those i've been to is Dallas. I liked it alot it was fun. I never do very well there with market barrows. I took a duroc gilt to the breeding gilt show there and did alright. I have heard nothing but bad things about San Antonio but like i said i've never been.

I'm a real sucker for a good pure hamp. Although i love solid black hogs and blue butts too. I really like the crosses because some of my best hogs have been crosses and they seem to dominate at the shows if it's not crosses winning everything it's hamps.
