the same thing just happened to us it was first litter first pig popped out after 2 hours we gave 3ccs of oxytocin and nothin so we had to kinda palpate and pulled out two dead pigs but she dreid up within three or four days

i use lindners 698 which is a newer feed and the depth charge

one of the best and cheapest is mineral oil and the salt can dehydrate the sow bad

use shaving cream smear it all over mist it wipe it off then swine shine and then mist it looks amazing on durocs and sudden impact. the sullivans sprays are usually not oil based except swine shine and hog heaven.

I don't think anyone can or should call it perfectly normal for show pigs. Yes you definitely see it a lot more in show pigs than in commercial operations, but why would anyone want to accept defects as normal. You can figure out the lines it is in if you study the pedigrees, but nobody has figured...

yes i use calf mana on all of my pigs its just vitamins so it shouldnt hurt em
