this year we switched to moorman's feed , this litter that is 4weeks old has been on their pre-starter since 7days old . so far the transition hasn't been an issue they took to it easily and have gained well on it. in about another week we will be on the burst starter and i don't anticipate any issu...

personally im not a lix it guy , yes we use them to keep water throughout the day . but i still put a open water supply next to the feeders at feeding time . seems stupid but ... if you've gone that far try something sweet on the feed . we will mix in coconut milk to the feed seems to make them want...

my opinion is that, they industry is trying to close the gap between good efficient animals with a natural look as opposed to the force fed ultimate block ( you cant eat bone and guts ) With the focus on meat and cutting . with all the additives its hard to see just what the growth weight is on a 5-...

in MY opinion , I think timing is key as to when you supply different levels protein /fat/lysine . If you study feeding from a growers side of the fence efficiency is a key component, one that I think is lost on the show feed regime . if you were to drop the proteins down sooner you could gain faste...

My personal preference would be Feb 11 litter , this would allow me to feed without holding back . ideally you would want to feed right up to weigh in , for the freshest looking animal . If the animal grows faster than expected you would want to control feeding around 160lbs based on length of day l...
