I have a purebred spot gilt weighing about 110 pounds. Her right front hoof is cracked, causing her to limp. She is in a concrete pen that is bedded with deep shavings. I am putting hoof ointment on it at least twice a day. Is there anything else I can do to heal this crack a prevent future ones?
