I am having a hard time with a gilt that just wants to run. She is afraid of the whip it seems like so I was wondering if anyone had any tricks to stopping this.

I have a gilt that weighed 146 a couple of days ago. We are 80 days out from fair and I would like her to be 270 for weigh in. Should I start holding her now or is it too soon? Is Weavers Swine Conditioning spray oil based?? I have been using it on our pigs everyday this summer. I just like it because you do not have to wash out.
