Re: LVS Open House boar questions
They did show both of those hogs. Double vision combines a lot of positives. He is elevated at the point of the shoulder, level, has lots of width and mass, and a shapely top. He is monster boned!!! Negatives for me were ham Loin junction and he bowed in his hocks a tick. After seeing all the litter...

Re: LVS Open House boar questions
California Chrome is an intriguing hog. He is huge legged, stout forearmed, massive, and thick everywhere you look. With all of this stoutness and bone he is still extremely flexible on his rear two. I would take him to a female that is extended through her head and neck and maybe protect pasterns a...

Tuxedo T-Shirt
What's your thoughts and opinions on Tuxedo T-Shirt at Shaffers? I saw him at the open house but I wanted some other opinions. I thought he offered a lot of positives and I'm considering using him to make crosses.

Motorboat at Mccoys
Motorboat still looks extremely impressive at 3 years old... Extremely wide coming and going, tall shouldered, big top and hip, well built, and has a cool look. Was wondering what he sired for people that have used him? What did he add and where does he need watched?

Re: Lairds Open House
They did not show trust fund... I heard he injured himself right before the viewing. I was bummed because I wanted to see him too. As for hitman he had the traits that most bone thugs do. I ruled him out right from the get go because narrowed up at the ground and was too straight in his shoulder. If...
Re: The stud
Anyone seen this guy? Seems like he has been doing some winning down south.

Thoughts??
I have a gilt that looks extremely good on the profile, but needs to be blown apart and carry the width to the ground. I'm looking for a boar who pushes the limit on width at the ground (both front and rear), yet is still correct in his hock and knee. The boar also needs to be soft muscled and have ...

Re: Top cut genetics open house
Did they show soundwave? If so can someone please tell me what they thought? What are his positives and how was his width at the ground, squareness coming and going, and elevation.
Dig deep
Saw this guy at the classic and I thought he offered a lot of positives. For those of you that have used him or seen pigs out of him how are they? What has he been siring? My guess is that most are structurally correct and flexible. Just wondering if he has been siring rib/body and bone. Where does ...

The moment
Anyone seen this guy or pigs out of him? Needing comments on his structure, specifically on his squareness from blade to knee to ground and from hock to ground. My thoughts are that he would be good here because he is out of monumental on billy bob's mom, but I could be wrong. Also wondering how his...

Power and balance
Has anyone seen any pigs out of this guy at A cut above? After studying his picture and the write up it looks like he could fix structure issues while adding mass. A little curious why I'm not seeing any litters out of him. If anyone has used or seen him can someone please give me some info? Thanks

Re: Crossbred boar to build stout bone
Bone Chill added a ton of bone for us... He added way more than shoot em did and we used both boars on the same sow (which is average to below average boned). Our whole bone chill litter is stout boned and we have a couple that are monster boned.

I agree I love him and he work would perfect but we are just getting started up and don't have a big market built up yet! Plus I can't justify spending that much on semen anyways...

What's the best built and most correct boar out there?
Interested in hearing everyone's thoughts on this topic. Its hard for me to get out and see all these boars. I've been on the search for a York or cross that is perfected fronted. Dead square from blade to knee to ground, tall shouldered, and ideal pasterned. The boar also needs to have a big dead s...
