So what I need to know is what to order as far as post-starter feeds. There are many options to choose from. I haven't h...

Re: Picking in Online Auctions
I agree with Tdgross89 that many bidders have seen the pigs in person or have built a good relationship with the seller so that they trust what they are telling them about the lots. Personally I have bought a lot of pigs from online sales and I have either seen the pigs before hand or discussed them...

Re: Hulk feeder
Hulk feeders are pretty good, the only issue I have had is the screws coming undone were the metal sides and the PVC connect. This has been pretty common but it is easy to replace them. I actully have found the ones in the link below to be much more durable than hulk feeders and big sherm feeders. T...

Re: Champion drive
I have never had a pig not eat champion drive. However many feed stores around here will sell very old product, so I always check date code to ensure i am getting fresh product. At $52 a bucket there is no way I will acceept 12-20 month old product.

Re: Show box opinions
We use the Sullivan deep hanging show box. Has beed gret for many years and is very versitile. We have been able to use it even at shows with limited tack space, Several of those shows the people with the rolling boxes had to kep theirs out in the trailer while are was able to be in the pig barn.

Re: Essentials of a new trailer?
All the above listed are nice, In my opinion the option that everyone has listed that is a deal breaker is the ramp. I like all the other options but I will never buy a new trailer with out a ramp, it just makes going to shows so easy.

If you want to go shows in the SUV consider getting a aluminum low profile trailer. We haul 6-8 pig in a low pro with the dodge durango all the time with no problems at all. Pulls very easy

Re: Jello mix or glucosamine pills
What about Lubrisyn? I know it is expensive but what about a showpig in general is actually cheap besides talk? lol We used Lubrisyn several years and it seemed to work fine. We have switched to true Track and really like it and it cost us less. You can find out more about it at HogDoc's true north...
