Next year KGB
Kevin can you give us an insight about what is going to happen with your feed products next year. Will you be making the same feeds with out the antibiotics added? Will the 509 still have wormer in it?
Thanks in advance for your response.

Thank you both for getting back to us. I'm a little confused I thought all antibiotics would require a prescription to purchase, are you saying that we can still purchase injectable antibiotics over the counter without a prescription in 2017?

New antibiotic rules Hog Doc, KGB, Darrin
I was talking with my vet about the new antibiotic rules for 2017. He told me he hadn't studied that much about it yet because he thinks it isn't going to happen. His biggest concern is if it does happen that his malpractice insurance will triple because if he writes a prescription for let's say Pen...

Re: Getting piglets to eat starter
I put the pellets in a coffee can with some milk replacer and some powdered sugar and shake the can so the sugar and milk replacer kind of sticks to the pellets. Then I throw a hand full on their heat mat. You can buy small rubber pans or even dog dishes for their water, make sure its shallow enough...

I agree with Swinedad no classroom experience will replace the knowledge you will learn by working for a large swine operation. You will be exposed to more situations in 30 days than you would in a lifetime in the classroom. I would also take the time to visit several operations and look at their fa...

Re: Help gaining 20# in 6 days
I would pull them off the self feeder and start hand feeding them 3 to 4 times a day using the 20 minute rule feed them enough that they can clean up in 20 minutes. If they still have feed left after 20 minutes pull their feed pans and don't let them eat anything until next feeding time. This will i...

Last year the online bred gilt sales for showpig.com were late June early July, probably be the same for this year.

OK people you need to read the WHOLE thread. The reason why a text was mentioned was in case he wanted to take the guy to court he would have something in writing from him. I f he just talks to him then if they go to court its I said he said.
