I would like some opinions on my son's 2 hogs. They were born the end of Feb. and we have 6 weeks left until they show. Currently they are only fed Honor 709 and they are as of a couple days ago being fed separately - each 4 lbs/day (2 am and 2 pm). As they adjust to eating alone we will adjust amount of feed. No way of weighing them so we have no idea what they weigh - yes I know it would be extremely helpful but it just isn't possible.
How would you feed them to finish? In past years we have switched from 709 to 809 but the pigs have never liked the change and it becomes a battle to get them to eat so we are sticking with 709 as they love it.
One last question - the gilt has quite a few wrinkles over her loin area. What can we do to eliminate that? How big a problem is it?
In the pictures the 3 top pics are of our spotted barrow. The bottom 3 are of the gilt.

you need to weigh em. in my opinion they are too soft, i would increase protein and lysine and decrease fat.

No way near as accurate as a scale but go get a hog weight tape, ya measure their length ,then around their ribs and it gives you an estimate probably within 5 lbs of what they weigh
Re: Opinions of 2 pigs
That's interesting on the tape, one of my 4-hers tape had them 15 pounds off from actual weight.

Do you show both pigs of 1. The gilt is a way better looking hog. The barrow seems to be way over for his leg length and frame. He needs to be on a fat burner and I'm not sure if that will help. If he only weighs 200 there he will be way over finished in my opinion. If he can only take 1 the gilt is way better hog.
