809 feces question

Post by NoClues » Mon Mar 14, 2016 10:00 am

I saw this in pigs at our county fair last year. I am using 809 now, and see it again.

I was taught that grey feces is an indicator of poor gut health. Perhaps, it is an ingredient issue.

Does anyone else see grey feces when feeding 809?

Is this a gut health issue, or is there an ingredient in 809 causing the feces to be colored grey, eg alfalfa meal?

Thanks!

There is nothing in 809 that should cause that. There is no alfalfa in any of the HSC Showpig feeds. If you are adding fat that could do it.

Is 809 not already 7.5% fat?

Yes, but some people choose to add more. At times, much more.
