Depth charge

I'm trying to push a gilt. Will depth charge slow her ADG or help. And can I mix with her wet feeding or will it start to expand too soon

Depth charge will do nothing for weight gain directly. However generally when you add a supplement you take a certain amount of something else so say a hog is eating 6lbs of feed a day and that's all the intake it will do, just barely eating that. Now say we know we can only have a 6lb window and we want to add 1lb of depth charge. So we are then feeding 5lbs feed and 1lb depth technically the weight gain at that point would be a less adg then 6lbs of feed.
However if you have a hog that eats 6lbs of feed a day and is still hungry so you add 1lb of depth charge to the 6 pounds the adg will not change but we will begin to add depth. Hope this makes sense.
And yes very shortly after you add water to depth charge it will begin to swell. Ideally you want all the swelling to take place in the hog that is how we expand the ribs and gut.
