Another paylean?
Another paylean?
What's the average length of time to have pigs on paylean, and what's the longest. Assuming pigs are sound.
Re: Another paylean?
Paylean is most effective at day 14 through day 21. Past day 21 you begin adverse effects and are doing no good. So when you plan to add paylean to the the diet plan your show date in the ideal time frame.
Depending on what the hog needs I've set my start of paylean 14 days before but if I believe they need a bit more I start my paylean at 21 days out. Paylean is or (ractopamine) is designed and planned to finish the between 90 to 45 lbs of the hogs final weight gain after 150#. Paylean should not be introduced to a hog any earlier then 150#'s. This is why I like to use the time frame best I plan out the adg (average gain) appropriately that when I use paylean (ractopamine) it is at the ideal weight for me to take and use the maximum effect to show between the 14 and 21 day mark.

Re: Another paylean?
We usually put them on a joint supplement and heavy weight during that time also but have heard about baking soda . Have you used it and if so how much?
Re: Another paylean?
I use heavyweight all the way through, before I used a joint supplement I used a baking soda / equix combo which works great it just became simple to add half a scoop of a joint supplement.
Baking soda is 1 tablespoon a day.
