Fitter 35 and Paylean?

Post by deputynrc » Tue May 23, 2017 12:42 pm

Can the Paylean Premix be fed with Fitter 35? Our show is 14 days from tomorrow and we have a Gilt weighing 245 (as of Sunday 5/21). She seems a bit over conditioned and could use more top and definition. She is a shorter framed pig and in my eyes, she would look her best at no more than 260. I have the following HSC products on hand (Fitter 35, Champion Drive, Powerfill -about 16lbs left and a two week delivery date if ordered today), Heavy Weight, Depth Charge, Rolled Oat Groats, Rolled Barley and some regular show pig feed (18% & 14%). She eats well and finishes whatever is put in front of her. I would like to shoot for a gain 1lb/day without adding any more cover. Any suggestions?

She does seem to be sound on her feet.

Couple of notes:

Fitter 35 takes around 30 days to see the fat burning results.

Paylean will increase gain. I would think the heavy weight should be removed and use the 18% only, along with paylean. I have found that if you start with the 4.5g/ton ration for the first 4-5 days before moving into the 9g/ton ration the results are a lot better. The paylean will burn fat, but will also increase the muscle under the fat giving that well conditioned muscular look.

For 1 lb per day gain, burn some fat, and put on muscle feed:

(Total daily feed; divide into 2 equal meals):
High Octane Fitter 35. 3 lb
High Octane Depth Charge 1 lb
High Octane Paylean 900. ~ 3/4 oz (3/4 of a scoop)

That will calculate to 9 grams/ton.
