Powerfill
KGB.I have a gilt that won’t eat powerfill wet or dry.What should I do?Thanks!
Re: Powerfill
Have you been hand feeding previously? Or using a self feeder?
Powerfill is very different in taste and texture. Pigs need a few days to adjust if they are switched cold Turkey from regular Showpig feed to Powerfill.
If you are feeding 3 lb per (1 1/2 lb each feeding), offer 1 lb the next feeding. Give the pig 20 minutes to finish. Whatever it doesn’t clean up remove from the feeder. Do not let it sit in the feeder all day. Do the same thing the next feeding ... 20 mins and clean out the feeder. Usually, by the 3rd feeding pigs clean up whatever is in the feeder.
