feeding boar

was wondering what everyone is feeding their boars so that they dont get as big as a house in 18 months to two years old to where you have to get rid of them. because they are to big to breed new young gilts

Our boar gets whatever feed the sows are getting at that time of year. Fed twice a day and gets @ 1.5# each feeding plus we give him some grass hay in the evenings to help fill him up. Like any animal you want to feed it enough to be healthy, and healthy animals are going to grow.
