honor feeds

Post by mfamilyfarms » Thu May 29, 2008 2:50 pm

Ok I have now faced another feed problem. I looked on the internet everywhere for a good premix for our local mill to mix up for us. We found on the honor website a premix so when we had the local co-op to see what the price was the rep. told them it was no longer available. So i guess any help would be greatly appreciated with this if anyone knows of a good premix or just a good mix to use for our hogs.

Thanks in Advance

The Product you need from Honor is called Showpig Base. It works very well. I know for a fact it is still available, because I ordered some the other day. The Coop may have too order it in from somewhere far away. Here is the Product# they should need #1311368-106. Hope this helps.

Maybe if you share with everyone where you are located and what feed brands you have available to you maybe some can provide a little more insight. I know for a fact almost all the major feed companies have something in the form of a grind and mix. While helping my father-in-law find something this spring I know Moormans, Honor, Showmaster, and Show Rite all have grind and mix bases. A lot of times it comes down to availability. Good Luck Mark
