This is what I would do. I would hand feed as many times a day as you can. Start by taking out the free feeder then put the food in front of each hog for 20 minutes then take it away. Always have more than they will finish. They will end up eating more in a few days because you are always taking it away from them right. By doing this every time you put food in front of them it will become a feast right now they only snack when they fill like eating. I would also get some probotics in their system to make sure that they have plenty of good bacteria in their stomach.
I hope this helps. Good luck.

The milk may be filling them up so they slow down on the regular feed consumption. They can only put so much in their gut per day.
They would probably gain better on the feed rather than the milk.

I was wondering about the worming every 3 weeks. It seems like I have read somewhere that when you worm them, that can mess up their gut some and it is beneficial to add get some good bactieria in them, I was thinking yogurt was mentioned to help get them back on track. Seems like every 3 weeks is more often than needed.

It is recommended to worm every 21 days to break the cycle of large roundworms. It is difficult to say stop worming so often, if you think they can pick up more worm eggs somewhere. (new pigs in the herd, going to shows, other animals, etc.)

How often do you offer to let them eat for 20 minutes at a time? It sure sounds like a good idea but need more information.

Thanks

Disappointed, 50 lbs in 25 days. You said your feeding about 14 lbs of feed a day is that for 3 pig's or each. If it's for 3 pig's they are gaining 1 lb for about 4 lbs of feed. I dont know can some one tell me :? is this not good or are you feeding eack pig 14 lbs of feed a day?

Are you sure they are eating it all and not spilling the feed and nosing it into the ground?? I'm certainly no expert on feeding, but, that sounds like an impossible or at least improbable amount.
