need more lbs/finish, 42 days till show
i have a 190 lb pig with 42 days till show. hes on honor t100 grower since purchased and is still on free feed. he needs more muscle mass but needs a little more finish on his back. will the honor finisher provide enough pop in him? i know once they hit around 200 the finish starts packing on, so i want to make sure hes in top shape. he is also tight in his rear end while he walks. what is a good supplement to loosen him up?
Aushwi:
I would suggest transitioning to the HONOR Showpig Finisher. That feed will definitely meet the amino acid requirements of your pig. It is also designed to help with body condition.
If I understand your situation correctly, you have a pig that needs more top and muscle shape, but the pig is alreay walking stiff. If this is do to restriction because of too much ham muscle, this might be difficult (if you have excess muscle in one region and not enough in another).
I suggest feeding Showpig Finisher and Champion Drive Topdress. Champion Drive will help improve the muscle shape in the pig's top, without causing stiffness in movement.
You should also be hand feeding this pig into show so that you can control weight and the way the pig looks. We have other products for specific reasons as well.
It sounds like you do not want to use Paylean on this pig due to soundess issues. You can e-mail me at kburg@landolakes.com if you like for more information.
